I had no problems with mumble before (with current build/windows), but can't really tell when this problem exactly appeared. I've tried installing mumble again, installing an older version, and nothing seems to fix this. Mute buttons seem to work normally though. So I can sort of navigate in the menus, but I can't see where I'm going since it doesn't react to my mouse clicks. But if I click a menu, and then slide my cursor on the menu next to it, that menu opens up. But clicking on them seems to do nothing, as if the program is not responding. Some times they are greyed out, but then again after playing with the window size/position the text on them turns black again. All activity freezes until I resize the window, but I can still hear my friends talking.Īll the menus are sort of not responding (Server, self, configure and help). Until I move or resize the window by dragging from some corner, then they all instantly come visible to me as well. I can write to channel chat and my messages are visible to my friends on the channel, but to me they don't show up, nor do I see the text I'm writing. But after that (about) 15 seconds, my voice stops transmitting and the "lips" next to my username wont show any activity when pressing my assigned push-to-talk button. I can talk on channels and buttons on the UI are functional. For the first 15 seconds after launching mumble everything seems to be working fine. If there are any distributions out there willing to carry this diff to their Qt 4 packages to allow TLS 1.2 support for Mumble 1.2.9, we’re willing to prepare a more fitting patch to Qt 4.8 that implements the behavior of “QSsl::TlsV1_0OrLater” from the upcoming Qt 5.5 release.įor this release, we’re also providing binaries on GitHub.I'm having problems with mumble. This is not desirable to the vast majority of software out there - but it works for Mumble’s binary packages. In particular, they change the meaning of QSsl::TlsV1 to mean ‘TLS 1.0 or later’. We do not advise distributions to pick up these patches as-is. Our backported patches to Qt 4 are available at: Unfortunately, that means that if you are using Mumble from a package manager, you’re not going to get a TLS 1.2-enabled build. The TLS 1.2 support in our binary packages is backported from Qt 5. Mumble and Murmur now prefer ECDHE AES-GCM cipher suites if possible, providing Perfect Forward Secrecy.įor a source-level changelog, please see …1.2.9Īll of these changes are already available in our snapshot builds (the 1.3.x series), so if you like living on the bleeding edge and want to help out with Mumble development, feel free to check out our development snapshots at.Mumble and Murmur now use TLS 1.2 if the server/client combination allows it.Qt 4.8 has been synced to the latest sources from Git.If you are using one our packaged static Murmur servers, or Murmur on Windows, or any of our packaged Mumble client packages we advise you to update to get the latest security fixes from our dependencies. It is also the first release in the 1.2.x series that enables TLS 1.2 and modern TLS cipher suites. This release contains a couple of bug fixes to the Mumble client and contains updates to various Mumble dependencies, most prominently OpenSSL (1.0.1n) and Qt 4.8 (latest from Git). Version 1.2.9 is a maintenance release in the stable 1.2-series of Mumble. The Mumble team has released version 1.2.9 of the Mumble VoIP application.
